My name is Ali White and I wish you a very warm welcome to my website!
Having been a Registered Nurse since 1982, I worked as an Adult nurse across a variety of medical specialities. However, once I had my own family, it was the care of breastfeeding mothers and their babies that really became my passion. Indeed, for the last 15 years of my nursing career, I was the Infant Feeding Lead Nurse on the Neonatal Unit at Heartlands and Good Hope Hospital, Birmingham.
Although I have now retired from the nursing register and from working in the NHS, I have been qualified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2010. I can now devote my time to supporting families with feeding their babies in the community.
At the heart of all the advice and support you receive from all around you, remember that your relationship with your baby is the most important thing in the world.
Not every breastfeeding challenge can be solved.
With this in mind, I am here to listen to you, find out what you would like to achieve, offer support both practically and emotionally, and to help you towards a happy feeding experience, whether that be exclusive breastfeeding, partial breastfeeding, exclusive pumping or any variation you might want in between.
